First Time Around - 2004

About Me

MiGrandpa: South Haven, Michigan, United States; I started running in my late 40's after being accidently encouraged by a friend at church. Her curtious gesture to offer me her seat in a crowded room was all I needed to get back in shape. The next day I signed up for my first marathon and completed the marathon two weeks later. While finishing last in my age group, I vowed to improve and eventually qualify for Boston, then complete my USA tour by running marathons in every state and D.C. My blog title reflects my life. I am always "on the run", as a mobile worker with multiple homes. I truly am "Living on the Run". With God's blessing I will complete my marathon journey sometime around 2020.
